Jim’s professional foundation was built at Sherwin Williams, where he spent more than 20 years working his way up from the ground floor to Regional Manager. Over that time, he developed an encyclopedic understanding of coatings, finishes, stains, and protective systems — the science behind what makes a product perform, what makes it fail, and how to match the right solution to the right surface in any environment.

Reaching Regional Manager at a company like Sherwin Williams takes more than product knowledge — it takes the ability to lead teams, manage operations, build client relationships, and solve problems at scale. Jim did all of that, and the skills he sharpened in that role translate directly into his work at Log & Timber Solutions today. When Jim walks up to a log home and assesses what it needs, he isn’t guessing — he is drawing on decades of hands-on expertise with the very products and protection systems that keep log homes looking and performing their best.

A Legend on the Mat

Running parallel to his Sherwin Williams career, Jim was simultaneously one of the most respected wrestling coaches in Central Pennsylvania. For 30 years he was the backbone of the Lewisburg Green Dragons wrestling program — 24 of those as head coach. His teams compiled 319 dual meet wins along with a league championship, four sectional championships, and a district team championship.

He coached 38 sectional champions, 13 district champions, nine regional champions, two state champions, 12 state place winners, and 13 wrestlers who reached 100 career wins. He was a three-time Standard-Journal Coach of the Year, a two-time Daily Item Coach of the Year, and in 2002 was honored as Sportsman of the Year by the Bloomsburg Wrestling Officials’ Chapter. In 2022, he was inducted into the District 4 Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame — a lasting recognition of a career that shaped generations of young athletes in the Lewisburg community.
